Ingredients
- 100g lean ground lamb
- 150g frozen peas
- 1 medium carrot (approx. 80g)
- 5ml olive oil
- 4-5 fresh mint leaves
- 150ml water (for simmering and thinning)
Instructions
- 1.Finely dice the carrot.
- 2.Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the ground lamb and cook for 3-4 minutes until lightly browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- 3.Add the diced carrot, frozen peas, and water to the saucepan. Bring to a simmer.
- 4.Reduce the heat, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the carrot is very tender.
- 5.Remove from the heat and stir in the fresh mint leaves.
- 6.Carefully transfer the mixture to a blender. Purée until completely smooth. Add a little extra boiled water if needed to reach your baby's preferred consistency.
- 7.Allow the purée to cool to a safe temperature before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or freeze in individual portions.
