Ingredients
- 200g sweet potato, peeled and cubed
- 150g ripe pear, peeled and cubed
- 30g uncooked quinoa, rinsed well
- 250ml water (for cooking)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- A tiny pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- 1.Place the cubed sweet potato, cubed pear, and rinsed quinoa into a small saucepan.
- 2.Add 250ml of water, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the sweet potato is very tender and the quinoa is cooked.
- 3.Transfer the mixture to a blender. Add the olive oil and optional cinnamon.
- 4.Blend until completely smooth, adding a little more water or breast milk/formula if needed to reach your desired consistency.
- 5.Allow to cool before serving. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze in ice cube trays for longer storage.
