Ingredients
- 300g sweet potato
- 150g ripe pear
- 50g red lentils
- 300ml water
Instructions
- 1.Peel and chop the sweet potato and pear into small, 1-2 cm cubes. Thoroughly rinse the red lentils under cold water.
- 2.Place the sweet potato, pear, lentils, and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- 3.Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the sweet potato is very tender and the lentils are soft and mushy.
- 4.Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly for a few minutes.
- 5.Carefully transfer the mixture to a high-speed blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
- 6.Add a little more boiled water, breast milk, or formula if a thinner consistency is desired and blend again briefly.
- 7.Serve one portion warm. Store the rest in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze in ice cube trays for future meals.
