Ingredients
- 1 medium sweet potato (approx. 200g), peeled and cubed
- 50g red lentils, rinsed
- 1 ripe pear (approx. 150g), peeled, cored, and cubed
- 500ml water
- 1 pinch of ground cumin (optional)
Instructions
- 1.Combine the cubed sweet potato, rinsed red lentils, and 500ml of water in a small saucepan.
- 2.Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 3.Add the cubed pear and the pinch of cumin (if using) to the saucepan. Stir and continue to simmer for another 5-7 minutes until the sweet potato is fork-tender and the lentils are fully cooked and soft.
- 4.Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
- 5.Carefully transfer the mixture to a blender and blend until completely smooth. Add a little extra boiled water if needed to achieve the desired consistency for your baby.
