Ingredients
- 300g sweet potato
- 250g ripe pears
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 60ml water, breast milk, or formula for thinning
Instructions
- 1.Peel the sweet potato and pears. Remove the core and seeds from the pears. Chop both into small, even-sized cubes (about 2cm).
- 2.Place the sweet potato and pear cubes into a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam for 10-15 minutes, until both are very tender when pierced with a fork.
- 3.Transfer the steamed ingredients to a blender. Add the pinch of cinnamon.
- 4.Blend until completely smooth. Add water, breast milk, or formula one tablespoon at a time to reach the desired consistency for your baby.
- 5.Allow the purée to cool to a safe temperature before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze in ice cube trays.
