Ingredients
- 100g lean lamb mince
- 200g pumpkin or butternut squash, peeled and cubed
- 1 ripe pear, peeled, cored, and cubed
- 250ml filtered water or unsalted homemade broth
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 tiny sprig of fresh rosemary (optional, remove before blending)
Instructions
- 1.Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the lamb mince and cook for 3-4 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon, until lightly browned.
- 2.Add the cubed pumpkin, cubed pear, water (or broth), and the optional rosemary sprig to the saucepan.
- 3.Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the pumpkin is very soft.
- 4.Remove the saucepan from the heat and discard the rosemary sprig.
- 5.Let the mixture cool slightly, then carefully transfer it to a high-speed blender.
- 6.Blend until you achieve a smooth, consistent purée. Add a little more water if needed to reach the desired consistency for your baby. Serve warm.
