Ingredients
- 100g lean lamb mince or finely diced stewing meat
- 1 ripe pear (approx. 150g), peeled, cored, and chopped
- 50g fresh spinach
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 120ml water or unsalted homemade broth
Instructions
- 1.Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the lamb and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- 2.Add the chopped pear and water/broth to the saucepan. Bring to a simmer, then reduce the heat, cover, and cook for 10 minutes until the pear is very tender.
- 3.Add the spinach to the pan and cover for 1-2 minutes until it has wilted completely.
- 4.Carefully transfer the mixture to a blender. Blend until you reach a smooth consistency appropriate for your baby's stage. Add a little more water if needed to thin it out.
- 5.Allow the purée to cool before serving. Portion into small, sealable containers for refrigeration (up to 2 days) or freezing (up to 3 months).
