Ingredients
- 200g sweet potato
- 150g ripe pear
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- Water for steaming
Instructions
- 1.Peel the sweet potato and pear, remove the pear core, and chop both into small, even-sized cubes.
- 2.Place the sweet potato cubes in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam for 10-12 minutes until tender when pierced with a fork.
- 3.Add the pear cubes to the steamer basket with the sweet potato. Cover and steam for an additional 3-5 minutes until the pear is also very soft.
- 4.Transfer the steamed sweet potato and pear to a blender. Add the pinch of cinnamon.
- 5.Blend until completely smooth. Add 1-2 tablespoons of the reserved steaming water, breast milk, or formula to achieve the desired consistency for your baby.
- 6.Let the purée cool to a safe temperature before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze in single-portion ice cube trays.
