- 1 medium carrot (approx. 50g), finely grated
- 50g frozen peas, thawed
- 30g fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 20g onion, finely grated
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pinch of dried mint (optional)
Instructions
- 1.In a medium bowl, combine the ground lamb, cooked quinoa, grated carrot, thawed peas, chopped spinach, grated onion, and minced garlic. Add a pinch of mint if desired.
- 2.Use your hands to thoroughly mix all the ingredients until they are well combined and the mixture holds its shape.
- 3.Form the mixture into small, toddler-friendly patties, about 4-5 cm in diameter and 1 cm thick. You should get about 8-10 patties.
- 4.Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Carefully place the patties in the pan, ensuring not to overcrowd it.
- 5.Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, until they are browned and cooked through. The internal temperature should be safe for lamb.
- 6.Remove the patties from the pan and let them cool on a paper towel-lined plate before serving. They can be served whole as finger food or mashed for younger babies.
