Ingredients
- 150g skinless, boneless cod fillet
- 250g sweet potato, peeled and cubed
- 100g frozen peas
- 15ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 sprig fresh dill (optional)
- 60-120ml water or unsalted vegetable broth, for thinning
Instructions
- 1.Place the cubed sweet potato in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam for about 10-12 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork.
- 2.Add the cod fillet and frozen peas to the steamer basket with the sweet potato. Cover again and steam for another 5-7 minutes, until the cod is cooked through and flakes easily.
- 3.Carefully transfer the cooked sweet potato, cod, and peas to a blender. Add the olive oil and fresh dill (if using).
- 4.Blend the mixture until smooth. Add water or unsalted broth, a little at a time, until you reach a consistency that is appropriate for your baby's stage.
- 5.Allow the purée to cool to a safe temperature before serving. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or freeze in portions.
