Ingredients
- 100g minced lamb
- 200g sweet potato, peeled and cubed
- 50g frozen peas
- 40g quinoa, rinsed
- 250ml water or unsalted broth
- 5ml (1 tsp) olive oil
- Pinch of dried mint (optional)
Instructions
- 1.Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced lamb and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- 2.Add the cubed sweet potato, rinsed quinoa, and water/broth to the pan. Bring to a gentle boil.
- 3.Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until the sweet potato is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- 4.Stir in the frozen peas and optional mint, and cook for another 3-5 minutes until everything is soft and fully cooked.
- 5.For younger babies, blend to a smooth puree. For toddlers, mash with a fork to the desired texture. Always allow to cool to a safe temperature before serving.
