Ingredients
- 200g ground lamb
- 150g sweet potato, peeled and diced
- 50g frozen peas
- 1/4 small onion, finely grated
- 1 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 pinch ground cumin (optional, no salt for babies under 1)
Instructions
- 1.Steam or boil the diced sweet potato and peas for 10-12 minutes until very tender. Drain well.
- 2.Mash the sweet potato and peas together in a bowl until mostly smooth. A few lumps are okay for texture.
- 3.Add the ground lamb, grated onion, chopped mint, and optional cumin to the bowl. Mix everything together with your hands until well combined.
- 4.Shape the mixture into 10-12 small, coin-sized patties, about 1-2 cm thick.
- 5.Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook the patties in batches for 4-5 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
- 6.Transfer the patties to a paper towel-lined plate to cool completely before serving to your baby or toddler. These can be frozen for later use.
