- 5ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 small sprig fresh rosemary (optional)
- Water for steaming/blending
Instructions
- Place the cubed lamb and butternut squash in a steamer basket over boiling water, or cover with water in a small saucepan.
- Steam or gently boil for 10–12 minutes, until the lamb is cooked through and the squash is very tender.
- Add the fresh spinach and rosemary sprig (if using) to the pot for the last minute of cooking, just until the spinach wilts.
- Drain the ingredients, reserving the cooking liquid. Remove and discard the rosemary sprig.
- Transfer the cooked lamb, squash, and spinach to a blender. Add the olive oil.
- Blend until completely smooth, adding a tablespoon of the reserved cooking water at a time until you reach your baby's preferred consistency.
